Our Services
Our approach to delivery for all of our projects can be summarised in the following critical Project Management aspects that form the basis of all of our work:
Concise in reporting and communication
We will ensure that the key messages are clearly conveyed and expectations are always understood to ensure timely delivery of accurate information, enabling swift and positive decision making.
Sure in delivery
Where our knowledge and application of project management principles and best practises will be used to develop execution plans and monitor and control processes throughout the project. David and Matt are both qualified practitioners in Prince2 methodologies, and Matt also is a qualified Project Management Professional (PMP).
Integrated project phases, budgets, and physical works.
Programming is one of our specialist skill sets, and our expertise in master planning and scheduling to determine the optimal programme for the required works, is second to none. We see the ownership of the programme as a key Project Manager’s responsibility, and commit to ongoing development and management of this aspect.
Minimal disruption.
We intimately understand the issues associated with construction and operational facilities and work closely with our clients to define all requirements and constraints of undertaking works, including extensive experience working in secure environments, as we have done successfully many times before. This will ensure that the design and construction works have the absolute minimum impact on any business-as-usual functions.
Value.
We will gather and interpret the requirements of various user groups and ensure that these are incorporated into the design, and control costs throughout the delivery of the project. The Project Manager will lead all Value Management processes to ensure efficiency in design, and will confirm that all constraints and trade-offs are clearly understood to enable confident decision making.
Control of the total project budget.
Our preference is for the overall management and reporting of the total project budget to be the responsibility of the Project Manager, with support from a Quantity Surveyor on construction specific aspects. This allows a full understanding and direction of the project, along with single point accountability for our clients.
Consultant accountability.
A key part of our role is to ensure performance of the wider team to meet scope commitments and project timeframes with high quality deliverables. We will also manage all scope changes and invoicing for endorsement to the client. We are prepared to engage in direct conversations when required, in order to ensure the best possible performance for the project.
Risk Aware.
Risk is an inherent part of project work, and when skilfully managed can become a valuable project process. We will manage the ongoing development of live risk and issue registers, and ensure that appropriate controls are established and owned.
